hope you are all well and that your life is going great.
I promised a new post on twitter last week so here you go, these are a few of my favorite acoustic songs.
I tried to link youtube videos/tumblr audios for each song, but in case it isn’t working for some reason, please let me know.
I hope you enjoy this and find new songs you like.
If you want feel free to tell me you favorite acoustic songs in the comments or on twitter x
I’m not sure if I’ve talked about this band before, I think I did. However they are a very talented band from Wales and I’ve been listening to their album Balcony for quite sometime until I stumbled upon this treasure.
When I first found this I was 100% sure that this was either going to be brilliant or trash and I was right because it is 2:39 minutes of pure amazingness.
They definitely made their on version of the song instant of just plainly coping the song and I’ve been listening to this so many times now and I am still not tired of it.
(I know that this is actually a cover and not an acoustic version of their own song but I had to tell you about this and couldn’t wait so here you go. An acoustic cover)
Again, not an acoustic version a band did of their own song, but still acoustic.
Alt-J is one of my favorite bands at the moment and this is up there with my favorite songs by them. It sounds nothing like the original song and I like the Alt-J version a lot better to be honest. It fits Joe Newman’s voice so well and for me it has a lot more deepness than the original by Thin Lizzy.
When I saw that Alt-J played this song at their iTunes Session I might have let out a very small scream.
The studio version of this is my favorite Alt-J song and the acoustic version is g r e a t. I’m just obsessed with them as artists in general so there’s no wonder that they’re twice in this blogpost.
I couldn’t find the iTunes Session anywhere, but the one I linked you is great as well.
Nothing more to say, just check it out.
Again, I know it’s a cover but it was recorded acoustically. If you know anything about me, you probably could’ve guessed that The 1975 was in this post.
I listen to this a lot just because it’s really calming and Matty’s voice is really soothing for some reason.
Nothing much to say about this one I guess, just give it a listen and tell me how you like it.
I think it was just as obvious that Halsey would be in this post as it was that The 1975 was going to be mentioned.
This version actually has Lido in it as well, who produced a lot of her songs for her album Badlands.
It sounds very honest and while still sounding very similar to her studio version of the song I feel like you can hear the emotions in her voice a lot better in the acoustic version.
Hold Me Down is one of my favorite Halsey songs and when I found this acoustic version I held my breath for longer than I probably should’ve because it is incredible.
I always liked the live versions of this song better because of how you can hear how she is giving it her all but with this version I actually cried a little bit.
You can hear how she puts every emotion she has into this song and I really wasn’t ready for this amazing experience.
I always liked how Jesse’s voice sounded when they did acoustic performances but this has always been my favorite, although I can’t exactly put my finger on what it is that makes it so great for me.
Maybe it’s how effortless Jesse is singing.
(I don’t have much to say about this one, but it is just as amazing as the other ones)
Some of you probably already know this, because that woman is a hell of an icon.
I also have an acoustic version of Love Is A Losing Game, but I do like Back To Black a liiiiittle bit better.
Amy Winehouse had such a great voice and you can hear just how talented she was when you listen to this song.
